Planning Permission secured to rebuild fire damaged house

Consilio are pleased to have achieved planning permission for the reconstruction of a dwelling in Buckinghamshire following fire damage. We were instructed by a local family to prepare a planning application for the reconstruction of the upper floor and roof whilst enhancing the appearance of the dwelling as well as providing additional roof accommodation.

Whilst preparing and delivering a quick submission was key, the dwelling was located within the Green Belt and within 20m of an ancient woodland. Our planning team were able to demonstrate to the Council that the proposals would not be harmful to the setting of the Green Belt as required by the context of para 145 of the NPPF. Given the sensitivity of the submission, through collaborative working with officers at the Local Planning Authority, we were able to secure consent quickly ensuring works could commence to re-home the family. The application was decided by the Council under delegated powers which ensured no timely delays in issuing a decision.

Our clients have now instructed local contractors to commence works and this is currently underway with the family hoping to move back in time for Christmas.
