21 Mar Planning Permission Won on Appeal For Extensions to Property in Surrey
Following our recent success at Planning Committee in Chiddingfold, Consilio were able to secure planning permission at appeal for a larger extensions scheme.
The Council considered they were unable to support the application due to their belief it would adversely impact the neighbour. However, our planning team were able to demonstrate to the Planning Inspector that there were flaws in the assessment of the application. The Council had failed to adequately consider the impact of the varying levels of the site which the Inspector agreed with. Additionally, our planning team were able to demonstrate that the Council had failed to apply their own SPD correctly in the manner it was originally intended for.
The Inspector concluded that the two-storey extension was in fact subordinate to the main house and would not impact the amenities of the neighbouring property due to the levels of the site and surrounding area. Our client is delighted with the input the team has had to positively influence the outcome of their last two applications having not been the original planning or design team.
